The Mech Touch has been dominating Q99's General Fanfiction and Webnovel discussion thread, in large part because Exlor is a fluffing machine who puts out 6k words a day, so I'm going to see if it might prosper better as its own dedicated thread. To get more news about The Mech Touch latest chapter, you can visit freewebnovel official website.

There's three levels of access: The first 131 chapters are free, most of the rest cost local-site 'coins' to unlock, and there's the 'privileged' tier of the latest 40 chapters or so that you have to be a whale to access. Non-whales get those chapters about 2 weeks after the whales. If anyone has privilege, please put posts about those chapters in spoilers, everything else is assumed to be accessible by the dedicated or determined.
Two weeks of travel, when he's already on short time for the MTA to recognize him as a Journeyman before he hits 30. That makes me wonder if there will be a time crunch to get over to them in time, for the sake of drama. But if he's going to make a hero mech, spending that travel time on the mastery quest makes sense.

Calabast is the obvious person behind the request for Ves to come to the Ylvaine Protectorate, although we don't know if she's Madame Cecily Curin or an advisor to Madame as a 'power behind the throne'. I would guess the latter, on the grounds that it ought to be really hard to create a member of a public ruling family out of whole cloth, but I suppose Calabast could have gotten herself adopted. Alternately, Exlor may think that religious people really are that stupid. (My own view is that they're only limited-in-scope-of-thought when their clerics teach them to not be curious enough to study the founding religious documents, perhaps so that there won't be awkward questions about how practiced doctrine has wandered far afield of scripture. Given that Ylvaine had as many wives as Solomon, and religious polygamy is typically code for 'abusive and creepy' in modern fiction, I'm assuming something like that is in play here.)

Anyway, if Calabast is going to be there, since she knows about him having the Fire Scroll (it was Fire, right?), I hope she'll demand that Ves use it to become better at the skills and subskills he'll need to make as good a hero mech as he can. I mean, she's got more of the key to the mystery of Ves' advancement than anyone other than himself, so if she's taken a good look at his lifestyle patterns, her skills as an intelligence officer ought to help identify where his advancement was just too quick for someone with only the resources available to a nobody from a 3rd-tier state, and her knowledge of him being one of the Holy Sons ought to suggest the reason for why.
I think we now have enough information to sci-fi how spirituality works in-setting: It's mental access to higher-dimensional energies. Design Philosophy, X-Factor, Resonance, Exotics, God-Beast Crystals, they're all different expressions of the same source of power. Given the whole 'mechs are practice for building bodies for alien gods to come and inhabit' thing, I would guess that the compression of spirituality into a 'crystallized' design philosophy was an artificial development, induced early on by Five Scrolls agents, but now an expected part of development. The fact that Seniors have a touch-empathy ability that allows them to confirm a Journeyman-tier philosophy is also evidence of an artificial structure . . . and I can't help but wonder whether Ves is playing with abilities that usually only Masters develop, when he sends his spiritual presence through the 'imaginary realm'.
