Terms of service
Prohibited articles include live animals, drugs, pornography, explosive object/flammable objects, banknotes, unwrapped sharp objects.
The sender shall contact the post officers at the packaging counter before sending the following articles:
- All types of machines and mechanical parts
- Lithium batteries and other batteries of all types, including communication devices with non-removable battery
- Sharp objects (wrapping required)
- Artificial weapons
- All types of liquids
- Toxic substances
- Corrosive substances
- Biological substances
- Guns and ammunition
Customs Declaration Form (CN23) for International Express Mail Service (EMS) shall be filled in capital ENGLISH letters and Arabic numerals ONLY.
Items containing dutiable or restricted articles according to the destination country’s import regulations shall be examined by the postal customs service division or other authorized customs houses located nearby the post office before posting.
Items containing commercial goods shall be accompanied by the following documents:
- Other documents or forms at the required amount, as regulated by the destination postal administrator, such as certificate of origin, invoice, receipt and import license.
The envelope/package of each EMS World item shall be conformed to Thailand Post’s terms and conditions.
Details of address shall be correct and completed in accordance with addressing format.
Detailed description of contents shall be declared on the top left of the addressing side of the package as follows:
- Non-dutiable items including letters, commercial documents, documents or information for a computer, and any kinds of printed matters, shall be remarked as “Business Paper”
- Product samples with no commercial value shall be remarked as “Sample”
- Commercial goods or dutiable items shall be remarked as “Merchandise”
- Gifts shall be remarked as “Gift”.
