I’ve been getting multiple calls a day from Carlson & Nicholas, LLP for the past couple of weeks. They leave voicemails saying it’s an “important legal matter,” but no one ever gives details. I looked them up and found out they’re a debt collection law firm based out of California.
I’m not even sure what debt this could be about – it might be old or even not mine. They haven’t sent me anything in writing yet, just constant phone calls. Has anyone else dealt with them? How did you handle it? I don’t want to ignore it and end up sued, but I also don’t want to get scammed or give out personal info over the phone.
I found this link that explains who they are and what to do:

Seems like sending a debt validation letter is the first step. Any advice or similar experiences? Thanks in advance.
