No, organized prostitution is not partially legalized. It is illegal in a few areas of India. Still, there are a lot of brothels running in many popular Cities of India which include Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, etc. Shamefully India is having the world's largest commercial sex industry. It is a global hub for sex tourism. Many things are illegal if we practice this in India including managing a brothel or prostitute in a reputed society, hotels. Mumbai and Delhi are the main hubs where brothels are operating illegally including child prostitution, pimping, and pandering ban in India. Sex trafficking and foreign prostitutes are also banned.
Government should take major steps regards this because prostitution is not only a job for prostitutes it is a livelihood the money they earn from this job helps them to live. Amendments should be done so that the rights of the prostitutes cannot be violated. Strict laws should be made against acts like human trafficking. Different non-government organizations are contributing to the prevention and rehabilitation of human trafficking by rescuing many sex workers. There are different schemes for the welfare of prostitutes like Prajwal, my choice foundation.
