NBA 2K7 was actually Shaq's second consecutive year on the cover. The first time was NBA 2K6. Allen Iverson and Shaq were the only players to have numerous solo covers at the time. The album was highly praised for aspects like the presentation, soundtrack, and gameplay. On the flip side, there were some issues with some of the controls and it felt kind similar to the previous game since not all that was included to enhance or add to it. It might not seem like much, but the menu style was widely criticized and some even deemed the menus ugly.
