To complicate things further, Bluehole and Epic produce an ongoing licensing agreement concerning the latter's Unreal Engine, which PUBG uses. In addition, both companies are part-owned by precisely the same corporation, Tencent.
An Epic Games spokesperson told GameSpot Fortnite Items the business would not touch upon "ongoing litigation." PUBG Corp.'s representatives wouldn't immediately respond.

In March, PUBG creator Brendan Greene said Fortnite Materials is good to the battle royale genre overall. "It's great which the battle royale space is expanding and Fortnite is becoming battle royale game modes from the hands of any lot more people," he stated. We'll update when we hear more from Epic or PUBG Corp.'s representatives.
