Things got off to a very poor start. The first championship was cancelled halfway through afterwards players suffered from such significant lag that fortnite weapons was not possible to continue. A week later, another skirmish featured a nice underdog narrative.
As console participant"iDropz_bodies" -- renowned at Destiny circles, but not a big name in Fortnite -- surprised everyone by snagging the tournament win and $130,000 in prizes. This, naturally, led to accusations of cheating Reddit and everywhere; Epic was forced to launch a statement protecting the participant and confirming that the win was legit.
There are other problems. The tournaments have conflicted with the already popular Friday Fortnite series, run by YouTuber Daniel"Keemstar" Keem. The demonstration is lackluster, and there haven't been any real concessions created for audiences.
There is no spectator view, or some other tools used to provide people watching a fantastic comprehension of the overall game. Rather, you are simply watching from the point of view of one player, with the perspective shifting regularly between the numerous competitions. It's nice if you just want to watch Ninja, but not so much if you are attempting to take in the contest as a whole.
